Dino

This cute little Dino is crocheted from the body up to the head all in one, the legs and arms are crocheted on, then it is continued to the neck and the head, so the only sewing is the tail, spikes, belly patch, muzzle and eyes. It only takes a couple of hours to make!

Materials

Around 95 metres of main colour, chenille weight 5 yarn (I used Aldi baby Yarn) and a small amount of contrasting colour and 6mm crochet hook. I use this set from Amazon*

20mm Safety eyes or a small amount of black, blue and white dk / weight 3 yarn and a 3mm hook to crochet the eyes

Needle

All parts are made going around in a spiral apart from the belly patch.

The Dino will measure approx 11 inches tall


Arms

Make two using main colour

Stuff as you go

Round 1:​ 6 sc in mc. (6)

Round 2-6:​ sc all. (6)

Fasten off.

Legs

Make two using main colour

Stuff as you go

Round 1: 8 sc in mc. (8)

Round 2: (inc) x 7, sc 1. (15)

Round 3-4: sc all. (15)

Round 5: sc 2, (dec) x 5, sc 3. (10)

Round 6-8: sc all. (10)

Fasten off.

Assembly

Pin the tail from round 2 of the body and sew in place. Pin the belly patch from neck to legs and sew in place.

Pin the muzzle with the top level with round 8 of the head, sew in place, sew eyes above with 3 stitches between. Sew some eyebrows with black yarn and sew nostrils with contrasting yarn. 

Pin the spikes in place as pictured and sew at each side.
