Large Daisy

Starting with yellow

Round 1: 12 dc in a magic circle. (12)

Change to white

Round 2: *ch6, sc in the second chain from hook, hdc, dc, hdc, sc, slst to next stitch of the circle* repeat 11 more times.

Fasten off.

Small Daisy

Starting with yellow

Round 1: 8 hdc in a magic circle. (8)

Join white

Round 2: *ch4, sc in second chain from hook, hdc, sc, slst to next stitch of circle* repeat 7 more times.

Fasten off.

Poppy Appliques

This free poppy crochet pattern is quick and simple to make.

This measures 2.5”

Using black

Round 1: Make a magic circle, ch2, hdc 16, slst to the first. (16) Fasten off.

Change to red (join yarn in any stitch)

Petals

Row 1: ch1, [2 sc] in the next 4. (8) Turn

Row 2: ch1, sc all. (8) Turn

Row 3: ch1, sc 1, *ch2, sc in the next* repeat to the end of the petal, slst down the side of the petal into the next stitch of the circle to start the next petal.

Repeat rows 1-3 to make the next petal, repeat until 4 petals are made.

Sew in all ends.

Large poppy

This measures 3.5”

Using black

Round 1: Make a magic circle, ch2, dc 16, slst to the first. (16) Fasten off.

Change to red (join yarn in any stitch

Petals

Row 1: ch1, [2 dc] in the next 4. Turn. (8)

Row 2: ch1, dc 2, [2 dc] in the next 4, dc 2. Turn. (12)

Row 3: ch1, sc 1, *ch2, sc in the next* repeat to the end of the petal, slst down the side of the petal into the next stitch of the circle to start the next petal.

Repeat rows 1-3 to make the next petal, repeat until 4 petals are made.

Sew in all ends.

Join colour in any ch1 space

Starting with orange

Round 1: make a magic circle, ch2, 12 dc in the circle, slst to first. (12) continue working the centre

Daffodil centre

Round 1: In flo, ch1, sc all, slst to first. (12)

Round 2:  ch1, *[sc 1, ch2, sc 1] in the next 2, skip 1* x 4, slst to first and fasten off.

Change to yellow, join yarn in the back loops of round 1

Round 2: in blo, ch1, *sc 3, [2 sc] in the next* x 4, slst to first. (16)

Petals

Round 1:*[ch2, dc, 2 tr, ch2, slst in second ch] in same stitch, [2 tr, dc, hdc] in the next stitch, slst to next stitch* x 8, slst to first. Fasten off.

Measures 2.5”

Round 1: make a magic circle then ch2 and 20 dc, slst to the first stitch. (20)
