Flower Power Coasters

These colourful flower coasters will be perfect for summer. They measure 4” x 4” each.

Materials 

Small amounts of Yarn and Colors Epic Aran weight 4 yarn in shades Violet, Orchid, Turquoise, Pesto, Golden Glow and Lollipop

4mm hook I use this set from Amazon*

Needle 

Scissors

Written in English US terms with abbreviations for UK

ch = chain

sc = single crochet (double crochet in UK)

dc = double crochet (treble crochet UK)

slst = slip stitch

inc = increase (crochet two stitches into the stitch)

ps = Puff stitch (yarn over pull up a loop three times yarn over pull through all 7 stitches on hook and ch1 to finish the stitch.

** = repeat between

Starting with Violet

Round 1: chain 4, *dc, ch1* x 11 in a magic circle, slst to ch4. (12 dc)

Change to Orchid

Round 2: join yarn in any ch1 space, ch1, ps in the same, ps in each ch1 space, slst to first. (12 ps)

Change to Turquoise

Round 3: join yarn in any ch1 space, ch1, sc 2 in the ch1 space, *sc 1 on top of ps, sc 2 in ch2 space*, slst to first. (36)

Change to Pesto

Round 4: ch1, sc in the same, sc 4, inc, *sc 5, inc* x 5, slst to first. (42)

Change to Golden Glow

Round 5: ch1, sc in the same, sc 5, inc, *sc 6, inc* x 5, slst to first. (48)

Change to Lollipop

Round 6: ch3, 4 dc in the same, skip 1, slst in the next, *skip 1, 5 dc in the next, skip 1, slst in the next* repeat to end,slst to first. (12 shells)

Fasten off and sew in the ends.
