Pattern notes
Working in the first stitch the ch1 does not count as a stitch so always ch1 and dc or sc in the first stitch.
The corner increases on the yoke are often different to get the right stitch count for the bobble row.
When working the bobble rows the ch1 corner counts as a stitch.
For my example I did 3 rows dc in one colour, changed colour for the bobble row, then 3 rows of another colour and repeated.
To change colour, fasten off after finishing a row then start your next row with a new colour.
The rib edging measures approximately 1.5”.
If you want the rib edging longer add more chains.
The buttonholes can be made at either side.
It is possible to decrease the arms if you prefer a more fitted sleeve. I would recommend *decreasing three stitches over the three dc rows, do the bobble row, then no decreases on the next three dc rows* repeat until you have the sleeve how you like.

Buttonhole band
Using a 3.5mm hook
Continuing from the bottom edging ch9.
Mark out with stitch markers or scraps of yarn where you would like the button holes to be.
On the row for the buttonhole, (I did this on an odd row working back towards the cardigan) I did, sc 4, sk2, ch2, sc 2, then on the next row, 2 sc in the ch2 space. I prefer to have my buttons on the inner side of the buttonbands as I find it works better but if you prefer you can make it more central, (sc 3, skip 2, ch2, sc 3). Video
