Meow the Kitten
This cute little Kitten is crocheted from the feet up to the head all in one, the arms are crocheted on then it is continued to the neck and head, the only sewing is the collar, eyes, muzzle, ears and tail.
Written in English US terms with abbreviations for UK.
sc=single crochet (double crochet in UK)
hdc=half double crochet (half treble crochet UK)

dec=decrease sc (sc 2 stitches together) (double crochet 2 stitches together UK)
inc=increase (2 sc in next stitch) (2 dc in next stitch UK)
Materials
Around 100 meters of black dk / weight 3 yarn
Around 30 meters of white dk / weight 3 yarn
A small amount of dk / weight 3 yarn in green for the eyes
A small amount of any colour dk / weight 3 yarn for the collar
2.5mm hook I use this set from Amazon*
White cotton for the whiskers
Polyester toy filling
Needle
All parts are made going around in a spiral apart from the collar.
The kItten will measure approx 5.5 inches when sitting and 8 inches when standing. However the size will depend on yarn and hook size used.
Arms
Make two starting with white
Stuff as you go
Round 1: 5 sc in mc. (5)
Round 2: *inc* x 5. (10)
Round 3: *sc 1, inc* x 5. (15)
Round 4: sc all in blo. (15)
Round 5-6: sc all. (15)
Change to black
Round 7: *dec* x 5, sc 5. (10)
Round 8-17: sc all. (10)
Fasten off.
Muzzle
Using white
Round 1: 6 sc in mc. (6)
Round 2: *inc* x 6. (12)
Round 3: *sc 1, inc* x 6. (18)
Fasten off leaving a long end for sewing and sew a small pink nose, and use black embroidery thread for the mouth.
Ears
Make two using the main colour
Round 1: 6 sc in mc. (6)

Keep stuffing as you go and continue with the head.
Sew claws with black embroidery thread, 4 on the arms and 5 on the legs.

Sew muzzle and eyes in place, sew two white lines at the top left of each eye with white yarn.

Sew the ears along the back then the front.
Sew the whiskers with white cotton, sewing the cotton in a few stitches, then cutting to the length you want for each one.
Sew the tail in place.
Collar
Ch18, dc in third ch from hook and each chain. (16)
Fasten off and sew around the neck.
