PREEMIE BOBBI DRESS
This cute little bobble dress is started from the waist and worked down, using a simple dc stitch for three rows then a bobble row, then joining yarn at the waist to work the bib in a sc rib stitch. It's quick and easy to work up.

Written in US terms with abbreviations for UK terms
sc=single crochet (double crochet in UK terms)
dc=double crochet (treble crochet in UK terms)
bs=Bobble stitch- (yarn over, insert hook into next stitch, pull up a loop, yarn over and pull through 2 stitches), four times, you should have 5 stitches on hook, yarn over and pull through all 5.
blo=back loop only
ch=chain
inc=increase (2 dc in the next stitch)
slst=slip stitch
sk=skip

Materials
90g dk/light worsted/ 8ply yarn for sizes preemie
3 and 4mm hook
2 x 15mm buttons
Gauge Square
With 4mm hook
Row 1: Ch12, dc in 4th ch from hook and each chain across. (9) Turn
Rows 2-4: ch1, dc in base of ch1, dc 8. (9) Turn
Square should measure 5 cm wide by 5 cm tall.
If you're out with a 4mm hook try 4.5mm hook.
If you have problems hitting the length this is not too important, as measurement will be given to follow.

Starting with the skirt
Using 4mm hook ch63, slst to first to form a circle. (63) Turn
Rounds 1-3: ch2, dc in same, dc all, slst to first (63) Turn
Round 4: ch1, *sc 2, bs* repeat to end, slst to first. (63) Turn
Round 5: ch2, dc in same, *dc 5, inc* x 9, dc 8, slst to first. (72) Turn
Rounds 6-7: ch2, dc in same, dc all, slst to first. (72) Turn
Round 8: ch1, *sc 2, bs* repeat to end, slst to first. (72) Turn
Round 9: ch2, dc in same, *dc 6, inc* x 9, dc 8, slst to first. (81) Turn
Rounds 10-11: ch2, dc in same, dc all, slst to first. (81) Turn
Round 12: ch1, *sc 2, bs* repeat to end, slst to first. (81) Turn
Rounds 13-15: ch2, dc in same, dc all, slst to first. (81) Turn
Repeat rows 12-15 until the skirt measures 7 inches.
Fasten off.
Dress ribbing front
Using 3mm hook
Join yarn 20 stitches to the left of center back and ch16
Row 1: sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in each ch back to edge of skirt, join to the next st of the edge of skirt using a slst then work one more slst into the next st (2 slsts in total for joining) (15) Turn
Row 2: ch1, sc all in blo. (15) Turn
Row 3: (in blo) ch1, sc 2, ch1, sk 1 (button hole) sc back to edge of skirt, join to the next st of the edge of skirt using a slst then work one more slst into the next st (2 slsts in total for joining) (15) Turn
Row 4: ch1, sc all in blo. (15) Turn
Row 5: (in blo) ch1, sc all back to edge of skirt, join to the next st of the edge of skirt using a slst then work one more slst into the next st (2 slsts in total for joining) (15) Turn

Repeat Rows 5-6 until you have worked 22 rows.
