Bobblicious Bonnet and Boots
This bobble pixie bonnet is very simple to make, it is crochet in a rectangle then folded in half and sewn from the inside, then crochet around the bottom and make the ties. The boots are crochet in one piece and are quick to work up!

Yarn
Stylecraft Special DK, light weight #3 yarn (100% Acrylic ; 322 yds / 295 m per 3.5 oz / 100 g skein)
1 skein for all sizes.

Special Stitches
dec=invisible decrease, hdc the next two stitches together (htc the next two stitches together UK)
Insert hook into the front loop of the first stitch, insert hook into the front loop of the next stitch, yarn over and pull yarn through the first two loops on hook, (two loops left on hook), yarn over and pull through both loops.
Bs (Bobble stitch) (yarn over, insert hook into stitch, pull up a loop, yarn over pull through 2 stitches), four times, you should have 5 stitches on hook yarn over and pull through all 5.
Fpdc (front post double crochet) (front post treble crochet UK)= yo and insert hook into the front post of the stitch below and hdc as usual.
Bphdc (back post half double crochet) (back post half treble crochet UK)
Notes
Similar weight yarns may be substituted; please check the gauge.
Beginning ch1 and 2 does NOT count as stitch.
Bonnet
ch 44 leave a long end at the beginning for sewing up later.
Row 1: sc in the second chain from hook and each stitch across. (43) Turn
Row 2: ch1, sc in the same, sc 2, *bs, sc 3* repeat to end. (43) Turn
Row 3: ch1, sc in the same, fpdc *sc 3, fpdc* repeat to last stitch and sc. (43) Turn
Repeat rows 2- 3 until work measures the correct depth for the size you are making.
Fold the rectangle in half and sew down the first row, from the inside, using the long end from the start. Then continue to the ties.
Ties
Ch 60, sc in second chain from hook and each back up to bonnet, sc across the back of the bonnet to the other side and repeat the same chains, sc in second chain from hook and each chain back up to the bonnet and slst to the first.
Fasten off and sew in the ends.
Boots
Sole
Round 1: ch10, 3 hdc in third chain from hook, 1 hdc in next six, 6 hdc in last chain then working along other side, 1 hdc in each of the next six, 3 hdc in the last, slst to first. (24)
Round 2: ch1, 2 hdc in the same stitch as ch1, 2 hdc in next two, 1 hdc in each of the next six, 2 hdc in next each of the next six, 1 hdc in each of the next six, 2 hdc in each of the next three, slst to first. (36)
Sole should measure 2.5 inches long.
Instep
Round 3: ch1, bphdc to end, slst to first. (36)
