Materials

Small amounts of dk weight 3 yarn in orange and green or brown

3.5mm crochet hook

Written in English US terms with abbreviations for UK

ch = chain

sc = single crochet (double crochet in UK)

hdc = half double crochet (half treble crochet UK)

dc = double crochet (treble crochet UK)

tr = treble crochet (double treble crochet UK)

slst = slip stitch

[ ] = in the same stitch

* * = repeat between

ch = chain

Using orange

Row 1: Make a magic circle, ch1, 8 sc into the circle, pull tight and slst to the first. (8)

Row 2: ch2, [2 hdc] in the next 3 stitches, ch2, slst in the same as last stitch, slst 1, ch2, [2 hdc] in the next 3 stitches, ch2, slst in the last same as last stitch. Fasten off, leaving the last stitch unworked.

Stalk

Join yarn in the last stitch

ch3, slst in second chain from hook, slst 1. Fasten off
