Retro Coasters

These colourful retro coasters will be perfect for a any fan of bright colours and are perfect for using up scrap yarn for a quick and easy make. They measure 3.5”

Materials 

Small amounts of Yarn and Colors Epic Aran weight 4 yarn in any colours

4mm hook I use this set from Amazon*

Needle 

Scissors

Written in English US terms with abbreviations for UK

ch=chain

sc = single crochet (double crochet in UK)

dc = double crochet (treble crochet UK)

slst = slip stitch

inc = increase (crochet 2 stitches into the stitch)

** = repeat between

[ ] = in the same stitch

ps = puff stitch *yarn over insert hook into stitch, pull up a loop* x 2, 5 stitches on hook, yarn over pull through all 5.

Starting with any colour

Round 1: ch3, 11 dc in a magic circle, slst to first. (12 dc)

Change colour

Round 2: ch1, ps in the same, ch2, *ps, ch2* repeat to end, slst to first ch2. (12 petals)

Change colour

Round 3: join yarn in any ch2 space, ch3, 2 dc in the same, 3 dc in each ch2 space, slst to first. (36)

Change colour

Round 4: ch1, [sc, ch2, sc] in the same, skip 1, *[sc, ch2, sc] in the next, skip 1* repeat to end, slst to first.

Fasten off and sew in all the ends.
