This cute little zebra is fairly easy to crochet with the arms and legs crocheted on to make less sewing, it is a bit more time consuming to make his little mane, but this adds to his cuteness.

40g Dk/light worsted yarn in white 

30g dk/ light worsted yarn black I used Patons fab dk in black denim from LoveCrafts

2mm hook I use this set from Amazon*

8mm Safety eyes or black yarn for sewn on eyes

Polyester toy stuffing

Needle 

All parts are made going round in a spiral and we will attach arms and legs by crochet so less sewing.

Zebra will measure approximately 11 inches from head to toe when finished (8 inches when sat)

The next round we will attach arms, fold in half and sc through front and back of arms.

Fasten off leaving a long end for sewing the head.

 Pin the head in place and sew when  happy with position, adding more stuffing before closing up to ensure it’s firm.

Mane

Mane cut lots of 4 inch strands of black or white yarn, or do a mixture.

Fold a strand of yarn in half and pull the center part way through a stitch so its about an inch through forming a loop, then pull the tail ends of yarn through the loop and tighten.

Do the mane 5 stitches around the front of the head and all the way down the back.

Tail 

Cut 6 strands of  yarn around 14 inches long in either black, white or a mixture and use the same method as the mane, going through 2 stitches.  Then plait it and tie a knot at the end.
